I'm still seeing unacceptable material on here. There are some people putting stuff on here which is wholly ruining the site and they should be stopped before the whole site is corrupted.

The beauty in art is the completeness of creation and the truth.
Through true feelings completed and you see the world with another eyes.
When this is done ... reborn.
Artstak must be a website dedicated to the memory of those delivered our great artworks to us and we teach from them until our days.

The site owners have the right to control what appears on this site, and do. The identical images posted hundreds of times in a row have disappeared, as no doubt have images of beheadings for example; the word censorship has a very different meaning to this independence. I once spoke to an artist who was frustrated at his failure to get censored, or at least portray it as such; he saw it as a career move. Service users who love this site enough to care about its future can only convey to the owners our wishes. I can't find smugness or imposition in this. 'My Feed' appears to have been broken for some time now. I have found there many images of a 'pornographic' nature by posters I don't follow, also not stacked by anyone I follow. It makes no sense. A 'Safe Search' setting would be a great addition. ArtStack could be a fantastic educational resource for children. Could be.

I don't believe any of these art selections are used to stimulate sexually arousal. In fact you would be inane to believe any artist would create art for the stimulation of climatic release.

There can be an endless discussion about art and non-art, pornography and non-pornography, just a discussion for discussion's sake, and I won't be arguing at this point because its useless. I still believe that those who blame this topic for censorship and archaism also do not admire all that trash stuff with endless genitals or close-up selfies in the shower. I've joined this group because those who value art as a masterfully embodied act of true and beatiful emotions do not want to look at cheap and vulgar production. For the latter there's much more space in the internet. I am not a puritan and not going to read a sermon here, but every time watching some 'art-works' in the feed the words spoken by the main hero Chris from Tarkovsky's 'Solaris' come to my mind:'Shame! That's what will save mankind.' Believe this point of view is not popular in today's 'liberal' world. But here I'm not afraid to look pathetic.

Artshack does not have to include every piece that might be considered art. I don't see it as an issue of censureship as something tells that there are other sources of pornography on the internet. It's more a question of acting responsibly as many children enjoy ArtStack. I trust other users will use reasonable judgement before placing porn on ArtStack as exposing children porn to kids is a never appropriate.

So if images I find offensive are appearing in My Feed' or in emailed notifications from Artstack it just means that I've at some stage stacked something by the same artist or followed them or stacked something that's previously been stacked by the same person! That gives me quite a responsibility. Hey -ho, I can take it!

Artstack leaves you free to choose what you love in art and what you feel is art; I wish for everyone to be free to know why he visits Artstack and who he wants to follow. The limit between art and non art is a personal matter, to want to govern it is not to respect the look of the other (as to the choices of your children, it's you to educate them and to watch their presence on the Internet be it Artstack Or other sites.) Thank you for not reaching this freedom of the viewer or the artist. Your publication is liberticide and archaic.

@Ari Newman: If the definition of ArtStack is family/friend Art sharing site, then I am afraid a whole world of Art will need to be skipped from this site. And of course, we need to be careful. There have been many controversies in the History about this particular topic and each historical period has had a somewhat different view on that: what appeared scandalous at some time is now seen as wonderful, what was once "degenerate" is now acclaimed... The subject will remain controversial I am afraid.

@Nicolas Gentry, you raise an interesting point, but ArtStack has been here for years and this rot is not something that has appeared on this site. It is vulgar, disgusting and, as a woman, I don't care for the hard core bondage, S&M, "art" that rapes my eyes when I see it. There are many who feel like we do, many others may be unaware, but it compromises the site and the artists. No, I do not consider it to be censorship, this is a place to share art. You can define within what ever borders you may, but the bottom line is that it compromises the integrity of a family/friends art sharing site.

Where is the limit between what is Art and what is not Art? I don't appreciate the pornogrpahy and obcenity like all of you but I don't like censorship either. I believe there is sometimes a thin line between Art and Non-Art and we must be careful with it. Is the picture or painting of a naked lady Art or Pornogrpahy? The (in)famous painting "The origin of the World" by Gustave Courbet was banned for many many years and is now hanging in a museum. Is this Art or obcenity?

There is a very useful option for us to inform Artstack about bad material:

      1. GO TO THE BUTTON "ARTWORK INFO"
      2. CLICK ON "FLAG AN ISSUE WITH THIS ARTWORK" LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM.
      3. CHOOSE "INAPPROPIATE CONTENT".
      4. MAKE YOUR COMMENTS IN THE BOX "DESCRIPTION"
      5. PUT YOUR NAME AND EMAIL.
      6. SUBMIT THE REPORT TO ARTSTACK.

This is my proposal and is the way I´m going to proceed.

Regards and good luck to all

There are thousands of pornography sites out there; on the other hand this site is unique, of great value and consequence. I think nudity and sexuality are valid subjects for an artist, but this isn't BadlyShotUnimaginitiveSexualImageryStack. Go set it up; you can have the name on me.

@felicitaslopez, you have done this before...to me and a few others. I tried to be polite and let you know this is not a dating site. There was another girl who sent 220+ emails that are EXACTLY like yours save the email address. She sent them to Henri Matisse!!! He passed away...quite some time ago.
You are also intruding on an active thread that is between members of this site. We have an important issue we are hoping to rectify. Please don't become another one. You sent this exact "email/comment" to me months ago. I am a devout heterosexual and don't have time for this. Please delete your comment and visit match.com...it's a dating site. Thank-You.

I think if enough of us let ArtStack how we feel about this they will probably do something about this matter. I don't expect they would want this site tainted. It wouldn't make business sense somehow. It's such a brilliant site it seems a pity that the tiny minority who post such trash should spoil it for the majority of users.

I have not heard back from ArtStack, but I found one thing that we can do: if you are following someone (it happens) who posts the pathetic imagery, stop following them and hopefully, less vulgarity will be in your feed. That has helped me a little. Yes, there are some people who think this is acceptable and the worse they get, the more compromised this site will get. Like @John Murdock I have been here for years and this is a downslide...along with all the "unknown by unknown" posts, mislabeled paintings and artworks, I don't feel that I can recommend any one to this site right now because of creeps who post vile, redundant junk. I have wondered if we may need a group to get together to get through to ArtStack? This has been a wonderful place for years and I hope it can be for the future, too. ~Ari

I'm glad someone else has commented about this on Artstack. I have been on here for a long time and have noticed how tasteless material has begun to creep in. I have kept quiet about it, but it's about time something was done about it. I am not a prude, but a lot of this 'material' is inappropriate and shouldn't be on here. Definitely not 'art.' Some has been put on here just to upset things. Prevents this site being 'family' friendly.
