Thanks Tom........yes the feeling is pretty much as you see :) thanks
With the transition to marine colours, this conveys a strong feeling of bleakness - lost at sea! That 'distant glimmer' of warmer colour is like a lifeline of hope.
Wow! You must have enjoyed some bold use of your pallette-knife.
Hello Tom and thanks. This painting is 3ft x 2 ft so a fair size :)
The impasto suggests a small size for this piece. Is that the case? I like the way the paint-work enhances the sculptural curves and light - shade modelling of the hillside.
Thanks very much Tom, really appreciate your comments :)
For me the suggestion of overcast and misty coastal weather with its deep and close tonality enable the blue-greys of the upper part and the almost acid yellows, greens and warmer hues below to sing out together very effectively.
Thank you very much for such a delightful comment Tom :)
Lovely pools of light enliven the distant slope and a glow of flame the nearer one by the trees ... very evocative.
Beautiful, really like this Andrew.
Thank you, Liz :)
Just wonderful!!! :)
Brilliant! ...Great color/perspective/proportion...A+Andrew
A wonderfully shady work of art :)
Thanks very much Tom, just what I like to hear :)
